I can find my item by number, but not by title. Why?
There are several possible reasons why you can't find your item:
- If your item was listed recently, it will not show up immediately in a title search. Check again in a few hours and it should appear. You can also make a note of the time your listing was created and then do a search. At the bottom of the search results page, you'll find an "Updated" date and time. If the date and time are earlier than when your item was listed, your item will appear soon.
- You may have a misspelling in your title. If your item is a bread box and you accidentally list it as a "brad box," it will not show up on a search for "bread." If you do have a misspelling and your item has no bids, you can correct this mistake by clicking on the "revise" link provided on your item page.
- The title search will only find words that are in your listing. You can't use search to find a category name. For example, if your title is Legs the Frog, you won't find it in a search for Beanie Baby even though your item may be listed in the Beanie Baby section. A title search will only find the words in your title, nothing more.
