With Buy It Now they can. When you list, simply add the FREE buy it now feature to your items. With Buy It Now, you'll be able to specify a price at which you are willing to sell the item immediately. For buyers this means an end of waiting and the ability to purchase your items immediately. For sellers this means faster transactions at the price you specify.

Buy It Now is free during the holiday promotion but currently cannot be used with Dutch Auctions during the holiday trial. Try combining Buy It Now with Instant Purchase & eBay Online Payments, the faster and easier way to receive payments. Here's how it works.

At the time of listing an item, you have the option to specify a price at which you would be willing to sell your item (Buy It Now price). Remember: If you are listing an item with a Buy It Now price, please remember to specify in your Item description what additional shipping and handling charges may be added to the price. Note: Your Buy It Now price must be greater or equal to your minimum bid price or your reserve price.

Once a Buy It Now price is set, the first buyer has the option to buy your item immediately, which would end the auction, or place a bid on your item as usual.

If the first buyer bids on your item the Buy It Now price disappears and the item will sell through the normal auction process. A "Buy It Now no longer available" message will appear at the end of your listings page.

Here are some tips to get the most out of the feature:

1. Accept credit cards when you offer Buy It Now. Buyers who have told us they will use Buy It Now want to pay for the items immediately with credit cards. By using Billpoint Instant purchase you'll be able to offer buyers what they are looking for.
   
   
2. Keep your buy it now prices competitive. If you set buy it now prices that are too high buyers may be alienated from your item and they may fail to bid.
   
   
3. Remember that buy it now is only available for the first bidder. We designed the feature that way to encourage early activity on your items. Buyers told us that a buy it now price that disappeared after bidding started would force them to make a decision about your item earlier. Whether they buy or bid, you're still the winner because more activity means your items stands a greater chance of selling.
   
   
4. Are you interested in selling items at a fixed price? Simply list an item with the same start price and buy it now price. That will act as a signal to buyers that you are ready to deal with them right away!
